Story for Maya Thus Far

Posted by DragonPunch - November 2nd, 2012

For those who use Wattpad, or those who just don't give a damn, I am going to tell you the story for Maya thus far...

In Chapter 1, Meredith Blakely goes back to Little Oaks, Colorado to look for her missing sister, who had been gone for 4 years, since she was age 11. When she approaches the mansion grounds, where the note told her to go, she starts seeing vile visions of corpses and faints. She wakes up in one of the guest rooms of the house, finds a holy flashlight and cautiously ventures into the halls of the place Maya is supposedly missing in.

In Chapter 2, Meredith encounters a demon that ambushes her from behind, and the only way to defeat is to shine the flashlight on the sigil that summoned it. Avoiding getting injured, if by a miracle, Meredith defeats the monster and then cries her eyes out because of the trauma she had just experienced. She then makes a move on to the Kitchen in search of a key that the note said to find, only to be ambushed by a shadow demon. After realizing its sigil is fake, the note tells Meredith to shine the light onto the demon itself, causing to go back into the wall from whence it came and melt away.

In Chapter 3, Meredith then makes a move on to the Kitchen in search of a key that the note said to find, only to be ambushed by a shadow demon. After realizing its sigil is fake, the note tells Meredith to shine the light onto the demon itself, causing to go back into the wall from whence it came and melt away.

In Chapter 4, Meredith recalls the last two encounters, but ultimately almost succumbs to mental fatigue. After gathering the will to go on, she is instructed by the note to use her key to open another drawer inside a guest bedroom to obtain a new key, one that she holds onto for dear life. She notices a mirror, and sees her sister's reflection inside of it. After speaking with the mirror and being relieved to know her sister is alive, Meredith notices a larger mirror. She ignores it, only to be sucked up into it by staring into her horrid reflection, ending up in a strange and unfamiliar territory.

In Chapter 5, Meredith wakes up in a white room made out of marble, and is greeted by Lydia, the guardian of the World of Opposites, a mirror image of the world she just stepped out of and reflects the opposite of everything in the world within the mansion. This means the time of day cannot be confirmed, and it is always dark, and the architecture of the mansion and the layout have all been reversed. She finds the reversed guest bedroom she woke up in when she first entered the mansion and rests for a few hours, and continues her journey...

Also, this is the new character design for Meredith. I am now working on more dynamic and expressive poses for character concept art instead of the usual. Hopefully, this will remedy the reputation I currently have. This image is going to be photoshopped soon and used as one of the parts of the cover art for the novel. Enjoy.
