One might regard friends as those who you wish to keep close. Don't, for if that friend leaves, you will suffer one thousand times more than you have ever suffered.

They'll think twice before they mess with you again!

Unfortunately, we all know that isn't going to happen...What are you doing up at 5 in the morning anyways?

It's an interesting point. I, however am not a pacifist and don't quite agree with it. I know people who hate and when people turn the other cheek all they'll do is slap them again and again. I truly do wish it could be so simple as that, but from personal experience the only way to deal with people who feed off others sadness is a fist.
But, I do hope that one day people won't hate anymore and that this will become the status quo, however I can never see that happening.

Unfortunately, that is true.

Cool Story Bro? Is that all you got? Talk about a cheap cop-out!

If you want to know why people act like turds on the internet, it is because of anonymity, and the perceived ability to be as much of a cretin and jackass as you like without any of the painful consequences of doing that in normal life.

People who just are extremely bored and insignificant in their daily lives, and as a consequence have a lot of repressed anger and negativity. Thus they want to push the limits, to see, like the cartoon cat and mouse, how far they can take things before it really gets out of hand. The fact that many of these people are most likely naturally unintelligent does not help; nor does the fact that many of the worst 'trolls' are usually under 20 years of age.

Pardon the expression, but from when I was 12 to when I was 14, I was somewhat of a little shit; a lot more petulant than necessary. The difference was that then the Internet wasn't what it is today. Dial-up was still a very good option then.

I wasn't the only one; it might have to do with puberty and hormonal changes that explain why some of us went from being a bit like dingoes to more like well-trained German shepherds.

In fine, the best thing to do is remember that you will never see face-to-face the pesa di merda who insults you in such vulgar terms on a message board, and if you ever did, you can be certain that he would be much more mild-mannered and meek. You speak the truth, and even if no one hears it or cares to listen, it doesn't change the fact that it is truth.

You have learned well, grasshopper.
